We need your help – volunteers required for Darlington Talking Newspaper

Have fun, make friends, and participate in a rewarding activity at Darlington Talking Newspaper.

Although our recording sessions are carried out on Wednesday evenings each week, volunteers are also required on various days and evenings during the week, we are sure to have a time slot to suit you!  Check our adverts on do-it.org to find which positions we are currently recruiting for, or email dtnvolunteers@outlook.com

Volunteer duties can be:

Technician: this role takes place in the studio on a Wednesday evening from 5.30 – 8.30pm every 4 weeks.

Reader: this role takes place in the studio on a Wednesday evening from 6 – 7.30pm every 5 weeks or you could be a reserve reader covering for other volunteers.

Editor: this work takes place at your home or a place to suit you every 5 weeks. The finished edition then needs to be brought to the studio in time for the Wednesday recording.

Copying: this team works on a 2 week rota basis on Thursday mornings copying the weekly editions onto CD and USB and posting them out.

Clearing: this team works every week on a Wednesday morning preparing the postage wallets for the new edition to be sent out.
